How do I get to Chalet Chataigne ?
A large number of airlines fly to Geneva airport, transfer time to Châtel is usually under 2 hours.
You can also arrive via train to Geneva or Lausanne, more information can be found here.
Chatel is approximately an 8-9 hour drive from Calais.
Each Saturday we arrange ONE bus transfer to be at Geneva airport (normally between 12 noon and 3 pm) depending on peoples flight times. Cost from £30 each way (per person).
This allows normal breakfast then transfer to the airport and arrival before 3 pm ensures time to return to Chatel, collect skis and have dinner at 7:30 pm, hopefully minimising the airport waiting time, and giving people the best start and end to their holiday.
If your flight is outside these hours there are 2 options:
Trains run from the airport to Aigle every 30 minutes (Look for the train to BEX or VISP) journey time is approximately 1 hour 40 mins. The journey from Aigle to Chatel is around 40 minutes, Aigle-Chatel transfer is £35 for up to 8 people.
Transfers can also be booked with www.Magic-Transfers.com. Prices range from €45 to €180 depending on the time you are prepared to wait and the number of people travelling. PLEASE NOTE: SHARED TRANSFERS OFTEN INVOLVE A WAITING TIME AT THE AIRPORT AND A LONGER DROP OFF TIME WHEN YOU GET TO CHATEL !!
When do Easyjet release their winter flights ?
When do the staff take their day off ?
Every Wednesday or Thursday the staff have an evening off. Breakfast is still provided everyday, but dinner will not be—instead guests often eat in one of Châtel’s lovely restaurants. Skialot can arrange this for you.
