Thank you for checking the Skialot Covid-19 and Refund policy.

We guarantee a 100% refund of any money paid to us (deposit and balance) if a government lockdown prevents you from taking your holiday (as in March 2020).

If a lockdown or quarantine is actioned whilst you are already at the chalet and you decide to return home early, you'll be refunded for each night you miss.

Skialot provides your pre-booked accommodation, Skialot is not a tour operator or an insurance company so can’t be responsible for any travel disruptions or changes you have to make.

Any other cancellation, delay or 'no-show' should be covered by your Travel Insurance and our normal cancellation rules apply : if you curtail or cancel your holiday within 4 weeks of your first night of accommodation, then no refund will be made. Between 4 and 6-weeks’ notice, you will receive a 50% refund of your balance. Greater than 6 weeks’ notice you will receive your full balance but not your deposit.

Any advanced payment for lift passes purchased through Skialot, as long as the pass has not been used, will be refunded in full.

Skialot cannot re-imburse or refund you for any of the following:

  • Remaining days left on your lift pass

  • Equipment hire (you should only have to pay for used days)

  • Booked Lessons

  • Travel, i.e. any flights, ferries, trains, tolls, fuel or transfers

  • Insurance

Chalet Chataigne and Covid-19 :

Your safety at Chalet Chataigne and Skialot is very important to us and we will undertake a number of precautions during your stay to protect you, other guests and us.

Chalet Chataigne is a private chalet and only staff and paying guests for that week are allowed in the chalet.

Anyone experiencing Covid-19 symptoms should NOT travel to the Chalet. If you have symptoms on arrival you will not be able to stay at Chalet Chataigne and will not get a refund.

Anyone developing symptoms whilst already at the chalet will need to self-isolate and contact their insurance company for advice. This is why it is essential for you to have an insurance policy to cover you against becoming infected whilst on holiday.

Face masks may be obligatory in some instances, it is your responsibility to bring enough supplies with you.

To enable us to thoroughly deep clean the chalet on changeover day we will be strictly enforcing our arrival and departure times. Rooms MUST be vacated by 9:30 am on departure and arrivals will not be able to enter the chalet before 4:30 pm.

Before your stay:

Our cleaning procedures are very thorough and in addition to our usual changeover cleaning the following specific measures will be taken:

  • All rooms and areas will be aired for at least 3 hours.

  • Any objects that must be used by all guests eg keys, handles, light switches etc will be cleaned then disinfected.

  • All hard surfaces, mirrors, shelves etc will be cleaned then disinfected.

  • All kitchen and dining room equipment will be washed at a minimum 60 degrees.

  • All linen and towels professionally washed by LocaLinge (a local professional laundry). Washed at 60 degrees, dried at a minimum of 70 degrees and ironed at a minimum of 180 degrees.

During your stay:

The kitchen will be strictly closed to guests.

Staff will not service or enter your rooms unless specifically asked to do so.

Everyone must observe all French and UK government guidelines.

Please only use your own sinks and bathroom facilities.

At end of your stay please help us by vacating your room by 9:30 am and move all your luggage to the garage. After this you should not re-enter the chalet, even to use the toilet, so we can deep clean the chalet ready for the next guests.

Notify us immediately if showing any symptoms of the Coronavirus. Put on a mask and remain isolated in your room until further instructions from your insurance company.

If you or any of your party become infected within 2 weeks of returning home, please contact us immediately. This will enable us to warn other guest who may have had contact with you.

We thank you for your continued help and support during these difficult times.
