Both companies provide an excellent service depending on your requirements.
Vertical Horizons ski shop (www.verticalchatel.com) where you will receive a 10% discount as a Skialot customer. You can contact James on +33 450 733 891 or email them at info@verticalchatel.com. You must send them a completed reservation form which you can download from their website. We will drive you to the shop when you arrive to collect your gear. If you reserve before arrival, you will have the fastest fitting from ANY ski shop !
Ski Hire 2U comes to the chalet ! You book on-line, pay later and get fitted at the chalet. Make sure to select 'Skialot', 'Chalet Chataigne' to get the Skialot discount. Contact Peter or Fiona on info@skihire2u.com.
As a guide, equipment hire for beginners is between 70€ and 100€ for 6 days. Children's equipment is less, advanced equipment is CONSIDERABLY more (i.e. €180 for 6 days ski hire only). ALWAYS ask the price. Contact them to get an exact price. Remember, all skis slide down the hill !!
There are many other rental shops in Chatel but queues can sometimes be long. Vertical and SkiHire2u are fast with excellent kit and are always our first choice, but if you prefer a bargain price and are happy to queue we will be happy to drop you off and pick you up at your choice of shop anywhere in the village.
